Meet the Team - David Aregbesola

David Aregbesola is our Senior Sales Manager here at KUDO. With a background in commercial and enterprise sales, he brings a wealth of experience in building relationships, understanding customer needs and helping businesses find the right solutions. Now at KUDO, David’s focus is on growing our commercial team and connecting renewable energy operators with technology that works for them.
We took some time to ask him a few questions about his career journey, his interests outside of work, and what he enjoys most about working in renewables.
What was your career path?
I came through commercial and enterprise sales, working in consultative, multi-stakeholder environments and building sales functions as well as winning business. That naturally led me towards technology and infrastructure, and ultimately to KUDO, where I can bring those experiences together in renewables.
What is an after-work hobby of yours?
Outside work, music and football are a big part of my life. I play bass guitar, keyboard and drums, and I’m also a defensive midfielder in Sunday league football. Beyond that, I have a big family, so most of my time is happily spent with my partner and children.
What is a fun fact about you?
Outside KUDO, I run Future Proof Plus, which supports young people into meaningful work through apprenticeships, and helps university students prepare for the world of work through upskilling and real experiences. Creating better routes into opportunity is something I care deeply about.
What do you enjoy most about working for KUDO?
The opportunity to be close to a sector that is genuinely building the future. KUDO combines technology with real operational problems, and I enjoy working with a team where we can listen to the market, challenge how things are done and turn those conversations into something useful for customers.
What is the best career advice anyone has ever given you?
Do not sell; connect to people, understand the problem. The best commercial conversations happen when you are curious enough to understand what someone is really trying to achieve. Create value before asking for anything in return & selling becomes the outcome rather than the objective.
What career advice would you give someone wanting to be in your role?
Learn to listen before you learn to pitch. Enterprise sales is less about having the perfect line and more about understanding people, organisations and what needs to change. Be curious, ask better questions, become comfortable with complexity and never underestimate the value of a genuine relationship.
What's an accomplishment in or out of work that you are proud of?
Being a present Husband and Dad, supporting young people find themselves and a pathway into work and connecting with the local community with mentoring and recently being made a governor at a local primary school.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Bali - vibes!
